In this release, the drag-and-drop behavior for widgets was reworked. The most significant changes are:

• Motion delay: Widgets only move after 300ms instead of immediately. This makes the movements more natural.

• Smoother movements due to reduced speed

• Reset to top position: when dropped, the widget will be vertically moved to its highest position possible without moving other widgets. Previously, this behavior could be activated per dashboard (Vertical align checkbox in Dashboard settings). With version 8.0, it will become the default behavior for all dashboards.

• Preview position with shadow while dragging.

The improvements ensure a smoother, more fluid and predictable placement of widgets in the dashboard. You always have control over the position and layout. Overall, these changes make it more convenient to customize the layout of the dashboard.

The handling of small widgets has been improved. The commands for editing, copying and removing have been moved to a ... menu. This means that even small widgets can always be moved or resized.

Version 8.0 introduces the Fusion UX Logic widget. The widget allows to configure home screens according to specific needs. You can now embed web components into dashboards. This accesses the existing Fusion UX web component configuration.

With the Review Manager widget, users can create their own customized dashboards for reviews. Reviews can be displayed in various statuses for each role (owner, reviewer, guest and uploader). This allows users to see only relevant reviews.
